PRESS CONFERENCE ON
CSX SUBSTANDARD RAIL CARS
April 21, 2015
Teaneck, NJ—The Teaneck Township Council will hold a Press Conference on Tuesday, May 5, 2015, at the Richard Rodda Community Center at 6:00 PM, to call attention to the use of substandard rail cars by CSX to transport Bakken crude oil and the threat or danger it poses to our communities.
We are asking all Federal and State legislators, Council members of neighboring municipalities bordering the railroad, and concerned citizens to join us at this Press Conference to demand a moratorium on the use of these substandard rail cars to safeguard our families and communities.
Following the Press Conference, the Teaneck Township Council will hold a Community Meeting at 7:30 PM, which is open to the public. We encourage all members of the community to attend, as this will be an opportunity for residents to meet and interact with Councilmembers. We look forward to seeing you.
Please contact Helen Zbierski, Confidential Secretary to the Manager, with any questions or comments at 201-837-1600, ext. 1002 or at firstname.lastname@example.org.
