|Time:||10:00 AM - 12:00 PM|
Sunday, October 4, 10:00 to 12:00 noon, The Nature and History of Terhune Park: George Reskakis will guide us along the Terhune section of the Greenway. He will be informing us of the flora and fauna along the trail and discussing the history of the area from Indian times to the present. As this trail runs along the Eastern Flyway, you might want to bring binoculars to spot any interesting birds. It is rumored that a pair of bald eagles are nesting here.
George is past Chair of Teaneck’s Park, Playgrounds, and Recreation Advisory Board and is on the Boards of the Friends of the Greenway and the Teaneck Creek Conservancy. This walk is co-sponsored by the Friends of the Greenway and the Teaneck Creek Conservancy. Meet at the southern end of the trail on River Road, opposite Hillcrest Street. Street parking is on Hillcrest.
