SUBJECT: Computer Classes For Teaneck Seniors
The Teaneck Senior Services Center is pleased to offer a pilot program this Spring for computer classes for seniors. The four week beginner course for adults ages 55 and older will give students a basic understanding of how to operate the computer in today’s technological world.
Classes being offered are:
Introduction to Computers:
Mondays: 10:00 a.m.-10:50 a.m. or 11:00 a.m. -11:50 a.m., April 30, May 7, 14 & 21 (4 sessions)
Wednesdays: 10:00 a.m.-10:50 a.m. or 11:00 a.m. - 11:50 a.m., May 2, 9, 16 & 23 (4 sessions)
This introductory course is most suitable for those with no prior knowledge of operating a computer. Students will learn basic terminology, keyboarding, entering and editing texts, opening and setting up files, and other fundamentals.
Registration for classes will be held from April 23rd to April 24th, 9:00a.m. to 3:00p.m. and is on a first come, first serve basis with limited enrollment for Teaneck residents only. Forms may be picked up at the Center located on the upper level of the Richard Rodda Community Center at 250 Colonial Court (at the south end of Votee Park). Completed forms must be submitted along with current proof of residency (i.e. utility bill, tax bill or driver’s license) during in person registration.
