Teaneck Recreation Department Fall Bowling Program

Township Resources - News & Press Releases

Fall means a change in lifestyle due to school activities and weather but it doesn't have to mean an end to an active lifestyle for your children. Here's a great idea! Enroll your children in the Teaneck Recreation Department's Junior Bowling Program. In addition to being one of the most popular recreational activities in the United States, bowling is a good source of exercise and provides a nice opportunity to meet new friends.

The Teaneck Recreation Department is currently enrolling students from 4 to 14 years of age in it's Fall Bowling program. A special feature of the Junior Bowling Program is bumper lanes for children 4 to 7 years of age. The use of bumpers eliminates gutter balls and builds the confidence and scores of our youngest bowlers. Four to six year olds play one regular game as part of our "Mommy and Me" program. Seven to fourteen year olds play two regular games. Bowlers are assigned to teams of three or four bowlers. The weekly fee is $8.00 for students 7 to 14 years old and $4.00 for students 4 to 6 years old. The weekly fee includes payment for games, use of rental shoes and lightweight bowling balls. At the end of the fall program, league trophies will be presented. The program is held weekly at Bowler City Lanes in Hackensack. This year's program begins September 22 at 3:45 p.m.

To register for the Junior Bowling Program, please come to the administration office of the Teaneck Recreation Department located on the first floor of the Richard Rodda Community Center; 250 Colonial Court at the south end of Votee Park from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday.

Our complete brochure and well as individual program flyers will be available at daily at the information table located in the hallway of the Richard Rodda Community Center from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday to Friday and 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

We welcome the opportunity to discuss our programs with you and invite you to visit our office Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. If that is not convenient, or if special accommodations are needed, please call (201) 837-7130 ext. 1 for assistance.
