Reminder: 2019 Health Department License Renewals

All 2018 licenses (noted below) issued by the Teaneck Health Department expire at the end of day on December 31, 2018. Businesses, managing agents, landlords, residents and others who need to renew their licenses for 2019 must do so by January 31, 2019 to avoid any penalty.  Applications will be mailed at the end of December 2018 to the address on record.  You can also contact our office to have an application e-mailed or faxed.  We can be contacted at (201) 837-1600 (x1500) or by e-mail at:   You can also download many of the applications at our website:  (go to Departments/Health Department/Documents & Forms).

The licenses that must be renewed by January 31, 2019 include:

  • retail food establishments (includes liquor stores & pharmacies)
  • laundries, cleaners, dry cleaners
  • single family rentals
  • owner occupied single family w/ 1 or 2 boarders
  • superintendent’s unit (for apartment buildings)
  • public bathing facilities
  • vending machines (food or beverage)

*As a note, rented apartments in 2-family houses and multiple-family dwellings are renewed upon vacancy or change of tenant only.*

You can submit a completed application by mail (check or money order made out to:  Township of Teaneck) or at our service window located at 818 Teaneck Road, New Municipal Building, Main Level.  Cash is also accepted.
