Township of Teaneck | SEPTEMBER SAVE THE DATES

"Teaneck Day Weekend" takes place on Saturday, September 9th, and Sunday, September 10th.

On Saturday, September 9th, join us for an outdoor concert at the new Votee Park band shell featuring "KBrown Express." They will be performing jazz, R&B, soul and funk music from 4 PM - 5:30 PM.

At 7:45 PM, the feature movie "Super Mario Brothers 2023" will play at the band shell. Free popcorn for everyone. Bring your blanket or lawn chair and enjoy the movie under the stars.

On Sunday, September 10th, from 3 PM to 8 PM, join us at Votee Park for "Teaneck Day" as we bring the community together for a fun filled afternoon. There will be many exciting activities throughout the day for children and adults.

Join us at 3:00 PM at the band shell for opening remarks by Township officials.

At 3:30 PM, the Township will dedicate and rename the band shell, "The Senator Loretta Weinberg Band Shell," for her many years of dedicated public service. Please join us for this special ceremony.

The "FIVE-0" cover band from Teaneck will perform from 5:30 - 7:00 PM to play classic rock and roll music.

Stay at the park to watch a spectacular fireworks show at dusk. Plenty of seating is available inside the sportsplex. Bring a chair or blanket and enjoy the show with your family and friends.

DJ Doug will be spinning records all day for your listening pleasure. Bring your appetite! There will be a variety of food trucks at the park to satisfy your hunger.

Teaneck Day is a great opportunity to get together with your friends, neighbors, our local elected officials, department heads, police officers, firefighters, our volunteers from TVAC, local business representatives, and staff from Holy Name Medical Center in a fun family setting.

Hope to see everyone there!

Reminder, another confidential paper shredding event will take place Saturday, September 9th, and Sunday, September 10th, in the municipal parking lot from 9 AM - 1 PM or until the truck is filled.

The 22nd 9/11 commemoration ceremony will take place in the parking lot at the Teaneck Municipal Building (818 Teaneck Road) on Monday, September 11th, at 8:30 A.M...

The ceremony will observe two moments of silence acknowledging when each of the World Trade Center towers was struck (8:46 A.M. and 9:03 A.M.).

We will also recognize the 8 Teaneck residents, Daniel Bergstein, Gregory Clark, Fanny Espinoza, Jennifer Fialko, George Ferguson, Lillian Frederick, Edward Lichtschein, and Mark Rosenberg who perished on September 11, 2001.

We encourage houses of worship to toll your bells at 8:46 A.M. and 9:03 A.M. on September 11th.

In the event of rain, the ceremony will be held inside Council chambers.
