9/25/26 Weekend Nor'easter ~ LET'S BE PREPARED

ATTENTION TEANECK RESIDENTS! WEEKEND NOR'EASTER NOTIFICATION

With wind gusts and heavy rain expected Friday, September 25 through Sunday, September 27, the Township of Teaneck encourages all residents to take precautions and secure outdoor items.

Residents celebrating Sukkot are also encouraged to properly secure or take down sukkahs ahead of time. 

WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 2 PM FRIDAY TO 6 AM EDT SUNDAY... * WHAT...North winds 20 to 25 mph with gusts up to 55 mph expected.

WHERE...Portions of southern Connecticut and southeast New York.

IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution. Secure outdoor objects.

Please stay safe and continue to monitor local weather forecasts throughout the weekend for the latest conditions and updates. DO NOT DRIVE INTO FLOODED WATERS.
