The bond ordinance, the summary terms of which are included herein, has been finally adopted by the Township Council of the Township of Teaneck, in the County of Bergen, State of New Jersey (the “Township”) on April 28, 2026 and the twenty (20) day period of limitation within which a suit, action or proceeding questioning the validity of such bond ordinance can be commenced, as provided in the Local Bond Law, has begun to run from the date of the first publication of this statement. Copies of the full bond ordinance are available at no cost and during regular business hours at the Township Clerk’s office for members of the general public who request the same. Purpose(s): |
The Bond Ordinance provides for (i) the purchase of various vehicles and equipment for the Police Department, Fire Department, and the Department of Public Works; (ii) the reconstruction, resurfacing, replacement, and/or upgrades, as applicable, to various roads, sidewalks and curbs throughout the Township; (iii) various repairs and upgrades to the sewer and drainage systems throughout the Township; (iv) improvements and the purchase of equipment for various parks throughout the Township; and (v) improvements and upgrades to various municipal facilities. Notice is hereby given that the following ordinance was introduced and passed upon first reading at a meeting of the Governing Body of the Township of Teaneck, in the County of Bergen, State of New Jersey, April 14, 2026. It will be further considered for final passage, after the Public Hearing thereon, at a meeting of the Governing Body to be held at Governing Body to be held at the Municipal Building Council Chambers, 818 Teaneck Road, Teaneck, New Jersey and facilitated on ZOOM May 19, 2026, at 8:00 p.m.
