NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD CONTRACT

Township of Teaneck, New Jersey

Contract Title: Playground and Recreational Area Surfacing Materials, Installation and Inspection

Cooperative Agreement: Educational Services Commission of New Jersey #65MCESCCPS, Contract # ESCNJ 24/25-03

1. Award Notification: Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-1 and the provisions of P.L. 2025, c. 180, the Township of Teaneck intends to award a contract for public works construction to:

· Contractor: Ben Shaffer Recreation

· Award Amount: Not to exceed $ 133,200.00

2. Statutory Compliance (P.L. 2025, c. 180): This contract is being awarded through a cooperative purchasing agreement that was competitively bid in compliance with New Jersey law and let by a New Jersey-based contracting unit.

3. Prevailing Wage & Labor Standards: The Township has verified that the contractor is not on the New Jersey Department of Labor’s debarred list. This project is subject to the New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act. In accordance with P.L. 2025, c. 180, this contract does not utilize "time and materials" billing for construction services.

4. Public Review: Any person wishing to protest this award must submit a written challenge to the Purchasing Agent at purchasing@teanecknj.gov within three (3) business days of the posting of this notice.
