TOWNSHIP OF TEANECK

BERGEN COUNTY, NEW JERSEY

ORDINANCE NO. 43-2025 

AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING CHAPTER 33 (DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS) OF THE LAND USE ORDINANCE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF TEANECK TO ADDRESS THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE FAIR HOUSING ACT REGARDING COMPLIANCE WITH THE TOWN’S AFFORDABLE HOUSING OBLIGATIONS BY ESTABLISHING AN AFFORDABLE HOUSING OVERLAY ZONE DESIGNATED AS THE INCLUSIONARY HOUSING 1 (IH-1) OVERLAY DISTRICT AND MODIFYING THE ZONING MAP”

Notice is hereby given that the following ordinance was introduced and passed upon first reading at a meeting of the Governing Body of the Township of Teaneck, in the County of Bergen, State of New Jersey, on December 9, 2025. It will be further considered for final passage, after the Public Hearing thereon, at a meeting of the Governing Body to be held at Governing Body to be held at the Municipal Building Council Chambers, 818 Teaneck Road, Teaneck, New Jersey and facilitated on ZOOM January 6, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. 

During the week prior to and up to and including the date of such meeting, copies of the full ordinance will be available at no cost and during regular business hours, at the Township Clerk’s Office for the members of the general public who shall request the same and may be viewed on the Township’s website (www.Teanecknj.gov )

A copy of Ordinance No. 43-2025 is enclosed.
