Teaneck Day’s Ultimate Block Party on Cedar Lane & Fireworks at Votee Park Postponed to OCT. 18th!
October 8, 2026 —
Teaneck Day Weekend is back and bigger than ever. Due to expected rainfall, Sunday’s Teaneck Day festivities have been postponed to our rain date ~ Sunday, October 18th.
The Movie in the Park at the Loretta Weinberg bandshell featuring ‘Hocus Pocus’ on Saturday, October 10th remains as scheduled!
On Sunday, October 18th starting at 12 Noon, Cedar Lane will transform into the ultimate block party complete with more than 60 businesses and food vendors, live music, a massive Kids Zone, the Teaneck’s Got Talent youth showcase, and fireworks at dusk at the Votee Park Sportsplex!
“Teaneck is a diverse, vibrant community, and Teaneck Day is an opportunity for everyone to come together and celebrate our township,” said Mayor Mark Schwartz. “We are thrilled to bring this exciting event to Cedar Lane and create a memorable day for Teaneck families, businesses, and visitors.”
The Township of Teaneck partners this year’s event with T.H. Experiences, AK Productions & Cedar Lane Management Group to bring thousands of residents, families, and visitors together to celebrate everything that makes Teaneck special. The event is sponsored by Holy Name Medical Center, Alfred Sanzari Enterprises, VEG ER for Pets, the Jewish Standard and proudly supported by the Teaneck Township Council and organized by Township Manager, Jaclyn M. Hashmat along with the leadership and staff of the Teaneck Recreation Department, Teaneck Department of Public Works, Teaneck Health Department, Teaneck Police Department, the Teaneck Fire Department.
This year, young performers will take center stage at Teaneck’s Got Talent: A Community Talent Showcase, sponsored by Our Children, the family section of the Jewish Standard. Teaneck residents under 18 can enter to perform comedy, dance, magic, music, or any talent for up to five minutes, with performances beginning at 1:30 PM. Selected performers will be featured in Our Children after the event.
The Teaneck Day Kids Zone is going to be spectacular with a mechanical bull, a 24-foot rock wall, the Dixie Twister and Turbo Tubs rides, a themed bounce house, Wacky World, backyard and 3-lane mega obstacle courses, and dual Velcro axe throwing. Young athletes can test their skills at basketball pop-a-shot, a 3-in-1 sports challenge, a First Down football throw, and a soccer shoot-out, while face painters and a balloonist round out the fun. Guests of all ages can also strike a pose at the 360-degree photo booth, sponsored by VEG ER for Pets.
Live bands, DJs, and performances will keep Cedar Lane moving all afternoon, with entertainment including ‘The Rewind.’
Over half of the participating businesses and food vendors are based in Teaneck. Food trucks, local restaurants, sweet treats, and specialty eats will line the street alongside local makers, artists, shops, and community organizations.
Fan favorites will also join the party, including Cousins Maine Lobster, Culcha Caribbean, Cafe Demi, It’s All Love, Karmacaroons, and Kudo Society. Even four-legged family members can indulge this year with the return of the Groomington Eats Dog Food Truck.
Teaneck Day will also celebrate Teaneck Public Schools teams, student-athletes, coaches, and families, and attendees are encouraged to wear their school colors and bring their hometown pride.
The celebration concludes with Fireworks by Grucci at 8:00pm at the Votee Park Sportsplex, sponsored by Holy Name Medical Center and Alfred Sanzari Enterprises.
