1.    Tax Bills:
Tax Bills are typically mailed once a year, during the summer, consisting of four quarterly payments.   Sometimes, an estimated tax bill for a specific quarter may be mailed separately.  Failure to receive a tax bill does not exempt you from paying taxes or delinquent interest on taxes.  Tax payments are scheduled as follows:

b.    2nd Quarter due:  May 1st
c.    3rd Quarter due: August 1st
d.    4th Quarter due: November 1st

2.    Grace Period:
A 10 days Grace period is allowed to make tax payments without interest charges.  Payments must be received in the tax office by the 10th of the month due in order to avoid interest charges.  If the 10th falls on a Saturday, Sunday, or holiday, the deadline for payment would be extended to the next business day. Postmark on the envelope is not an indication of receipt by the tax Collector.  If payments are not received within the grace period, interest is calculated at the rate of 8% on the first $1,500 and 18% for any amount over $1,500 from the date the payment was originally due.
