Teaneck joins Governor Murphy and Congressman Gottheimer in condemning the anti Muslim imagery recently seen at the Muslim Center in Piscataway. We must denounce these islamophobic acts that are designed to intimidate and spread fear through our Muslim communities. May our voices and actions show that they cannot win.

Teaneck stands against hate in all its forms. Everyone should be able to live, work, love and worship in America without fear of harassment or violence.

We are one with our Muslim community here in Teaneck in condemning this act of hate and offer our support for we want everyone to feel valued and safe in our township. To that end I have asked our Manager and the Teaneck Police Department to reach out to our Muslim neighbors and discuss ways that we can assure them we will do everything we can to keep them safe.
