The Township’s sanitary sewer system is designed for human waste  only.   Sump pump flows, diapers, paper towels, cooking oils, grease, etc., are prohibited. Disposal of non-human waste may negatively affect your sewer line or the Township’s sewage system. Residents are encouraged to consult a plumber for information about installing sewer backflow valves on their private sewer lines to prevent sewer backups. Furthermore, the Township recommends residents contact their insurance carrier to ensure they are covered against loss related to sewer backups.
