YAB 2021 Annual Report

"The Teaneck Youth Advisory Board joins the greater Teaneck community in mourning the passing of Ms. Janice Preschel. Ms. Preschel, the director of Teaneck’s Helping Hands Food Pantry, was a beacon of light to our community and a selfless advocate for those in need. She always put a smile on the faces of those around her. Ms. Preschel’s commitment to the wellbeing of others and to the Teaneck community will surely be cherished and remembered. The Youth Advisory Board looks forward to joining with the rest of the Township of Teaneck to properly commemorate Ms. Preschel and her legacy in an appropriate fashion"

The Youth Advisory Board aims to empower, express ideas, and to bridge the gap between Teaneck Township Officials and it's youth.

What is the YAB doing?

Developing recommendations for youth programs.

Study/survey matters which may be related to the interest of the youth in Teaneck.

Reviewing current programs provided by the Township, Board of Education or private schools and making recommendations on ways to better coordinate, change, expand or create new programs.

Making recommendations to the Township Council for services not currently in existence.
